Pick and mix your Scots to create a realistic campaign look, we do ‘em in kilts, trousers, or Kilmarnock bonnets (Mrs Fizzer is a wild-eyed Jock so I had to capitulate).
Kilts and Highland bonnets fared badly in the Peninsular and the tartan cloth was often re-purposed as trousers and patches; many soldiers just wore what they could find or what fortune provided. Paint these trousers in browns, tans and greys or white and stripes to achieve a veteran look.
